You would go to the facts. You would hire a lawyer to look into it to find out what that lawyer did and whether that lawyer met what they call the standard of care of being a reasonable lawyer and a competent lawyer, and if he wasn’t, your new counsel would be the one to uncover the facts, find out what happened, and make a determination of whether that first lawyer did what he should have done under the rules regulating us and the Florida Bar.
