How is annulment different from divorce?

Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

A divorce is a dissolution of a union that’s been made. An annulment goes back in time and suggests that there never was a union, so there’s nothing to dissolve. It kind of turns back the hands of time, as though the event never happened. Whereas a divorce, you acknowledge you were married, and you acknowledge it’s over.
