The auto insurance company’s attorney says my injury was pre-existing. How do I prove it was not?Return to FAQ Videos
You can definitely settle the case without an attorney, but that is the wrong thing to do. There’s lots of things that can develop later on that you are not aware of, and you might be very saddened if you had settled your case quickly. You need to investigate, you need to find out who’s involved other than the person that you’re dealing with. More importantly, you have to find out what all of your damages are because this is not only the first, but it’s going to be the last time that you’re able to collect for your injury and for your damages. Take your time. I would not settle a case on your own, and I would get a lawyer to at least review the matter.
